Strategic Plan Blended Learning
In Spring 2017 the Executive Board of the university has approved the faculty’s strategic plan for blended learning and educational innovation. The focus is on four educational goals:
- enhancing the academic and critical attitude and behaviour;
- realising deeper level of learning;
- optimizing the learning effect of contact hours by strategic engagement of teachers;
- investigating methods on how to respond effectively to the heterogeneity of the student population.
In order to reach these goals, attention is needed on all levels in the educational programme; curriculum, learning trajectories, and course level. For example, a currently active project is to develop online modules and tests in the field of mathematics and statistics that can be embedded in courses in these fields throughout our bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
On the course level we invite every individual teacher with an idea for redesigning a module combining online and offline elements to submit a project proposal to the Blended Learning project team. We can also advise you during this process or even help you write the proposal. For more info, click here.
